 About Zdenka

Zdenka Polivkova MA is a Czech painter, graphic, historian and teacher. She studied at the Palacky University in Olomouc, Moravia. She now lives and creates in Podkozi situated close to Beroun in West Bohemia.

She is inspired by nature and everyday life. Her portfolio includes paints of countryside and village life, still lives, abstraction as well as various prints. Her pieces of art are dynamic, colourful and full of energy so as is Zdenka herself.

Her works can be found in numerous collections in CZ and abroad as well.

She also works with pottery. Thus she has conceived and realised these public installations – the Cross Road for the Church in Zelezna /county Beroun/ and the relief of St Wenceslas for the little chapel in Podkozi.

Regularly she contributes to the auction sales of the Konto Bariery / Barriers,  the Foundation of Charta 77 which donates to handicapped and seniors.

Her exhibition list encompasses exhibitions sites such as the Prague Castle, the Prague Palace, Beroun, Hostivice, Kladno courtyards, Karlštejn and others.
